Tragedy on the Deschutes

Postby Howly Wolf » Wed May 04, 2022 7:34 pm

Sad news out of Bend-- 17 year old surfer, Ben Murphy, was pinned under the river wave for 6 minutes after his foot got stuck in the artificial reef. He was rescued and although medical intervention initially provided hope for recovery, poor guy succumbed to organ failure later that day. Wave is shut down indefinitely while the town mourns. Here's wishing Ben's family, friends, and surf community peace in this difficult time.
