Okay...lets get it out there now....
Who surfs better?
Me?
I say men do.
More power. More style. More aggression.
Women look like apes when they rip.

I can watch a woman do anything and find the beauty of it. Any sport, vocation, or quiet moment. I wouldn't watch a man do anything. I'm hugely homophobic.

And Wilbur, the fact you equate "ripping" with good surfing speaks volumes. I'm disappointed. Not that you care

I've found that if you make something into a competition between the sexes the men generally lose every time.

Can't say I've ever honestly thought about the difference between men and women surfing. My wife and I talk a lot of trash to each other when we get on the water though.. I always talk about how I was rippin and she was falling and she talks about how I was falling and she was rippin.
Surfin isn't about competing to me I guess, it's a fun thing for the wif and I to do

you should see her now that its bikini bottom and boyshorts season. she's not only super sexy and surf well, but she is also a very nice person. i got a hoot from her about a months ago and i nearly triped over my heel in disbelieve that a sexy pro surf chick is giving a kooky oregon surfer props...
getting back to the subject, i think men surf better by nature but maybe thats just in oregon where surfing is not in the main stream YET. i seen chicks here that blew me out of the water. i seen a teenage girl do a full on laid back 70's style cutt off the top on a tiny retro single fin when it was decent size at HB pier.
say it!

everyone brings to the table their own style of course whether their shredding, ripping, sliding, flowing, glowing, dancing or romancing the waving. look at Sophia Millanovich (sp?)when she rips, she looks sleek, sexy and she curves well with the wave. Then look at Wilbur on a wave: again we have style, his own style of course but still style. (even bowlers can find some beauty in a big round bowling ball hurling its self towards pins. hehehehe)
