Once again Canadians dominated this years Surfrider Foundation Clean Water Classic in Westport WA. So much so that the Juniors division final was all Canadian. 1st place was captured by CC Unger-Mayor, Noah Cohen and Ryan Cameron placed second and third respectively.

Peter Devries pulled a reapeat perfomance of 2005 taking this years ProAm title and the $500.00 cash first prize. He also receieved honors and prizes for Best Wave and Highest Scoring Wave of the contest. Noah Cohen continued his success and finished 2nd in the ProAm. Other Canadians that finished in the top three of their divisions were Leah Oke who finishing first in the Womens Shortboard, Angus Tokarek 3rd in Mens Longboard and Mike Redpath 3rd in the Masters Shortboard.

Peter and CC's also won two of three special sponsor heats. Four surfers were drawn to ride new boards provided by Global Surf Industries. The surfer with the highest heat score got to take home the board they rode and $200.00 cash. Peter was drawn in the 6'0" heat and CC in the 6'8". They both got to keep the surfboard and take home the loot. In Canadian style Peter chose to donate his cash prize to Surfrider Foundation.

A longboard is defined as a board longer than 9’. Shortboards must be shorter than 7’4”. Master’s must be 40+ years of age. Juniors must be 12+ years of age, but no older than 17.
