Surfing is essentially comprised of three elements: the wave, the board and you. Only the board is clearly definable. Finding a custom shaper who can "define" the optimal shape relative to your needs and surfing style is a gift. Fortunately, the Pacific Northwest is blessed with some incredible shaping talent. Some more famous than others, but all pour their heart and soul in to the craft.

While not an exhaustive list, this should at least get you started in your qwest for either a custom board, or in the very least a board you know was shaped by hand by someone who knows Oregon surf intimately.
